BreakTheHorde io is a top-down co-op shooter for 1 to 4 players. Pick a survivor, clear objectives with the squad, upgrade during the run and eventually make it to extraction.

How to play

A run in BreakTheHorde io is split into stages instead of one endless arena. One moment you defend a position, next you repair generators, carry supplies or rush through checkpoints. Enemies give XP, and every level offers upgrades for damage, movement, crits, Adrenaline or your class. Scrap is worth keeping for supply terminals where you can restock, grab armor, mods and other useful stuff.

The classes actually change how the team works. Medic can keep people going, Engineer brings a turret, Scout has great mobility, while Assault is the easy all-round pick. Going down is not always the end either: teammates can revive you, but the team has a limited revive pool, so wasting three of them on the same bad corner is not a great build.

Modes

Survival is the full 20-stage campaign with five acts and bosses, usually around 45 minutes. Endless keeps adding objectives until the squad finally folds. Challenge uses a fixed daily map with modifiers on Hard. Horde Brawl changes the rules completely into a 2–4 player PvPvE free-for-all where score matters more than finishing a campaign.

Tips

• Keep moving and dash through gaps before the horde closes around you
• Save a full Adrenaline bar for bosses and difficult objectives
• Spend scrap between stages instead of carrying it forever
• Use map mechanics such as car alarms, artillery and laser grids
