Inkblast io is a multiplayer 3D arena shooter with fast movement, colorful maps and several PvP modes. Matches support 4v4 teams or solo competition, and the Ink Dash ability makes chasing opponents a bit tricky.

How to play

Choose a map and join a match. Your character sprints automatically, so getting around is pretty quick. The interesting part of Inkblast io is the Inked effect. Hit an opponent and they leave glowing footprints for four seconds, visible to you and your teammates. They also can't regenerate HP during that time. It's handy when someone runs behind a wall and thinks they've escaped.

There's also Ink Dash, a quick burst of speed in whatever direction you're moving. You get two charges, or three with the MARKER equipped. They refill slowly, but every elimination gives one charge back immediately. Save one for getting out of trouble rather than spending everything to reach the next fight. The maps have plenty of cover, raised platforms and narrow passages. If you've played DeadShot io or Veck io, the movement should feel familiar.

Game modes

Team Deathmatch (TDM): two teams of four compete to reach 45 eliminations first
Free For All (FFA): everyone plays for themselves, first to 20 eliminations wins
Ink Bomb: one life per round. Attackers plant at site A or B, defenders prevent the plant or defuse the bomb. First to four rounds wins, with teams switching sides after round three

Ink Bomb unlocks after finishing one match. You can also select Any Mode to join wherever people are playing. For matches with friends, create a party using the code next to your character. Party members play on the same team.

Tips

Keep one Ink Dash charge available when approaching a busy area
Use an opponent's glowing footprints to follow them around cover
If you're Inked, break line of sight and wait for the effect to expire
Try the tighter Hallpass map and the more open Tankyard to see which suits your playstyle
