Nothing2lose is a free browser co-op zombie survival shooter with blocky graphics, wave-based matches and solo play with AI teammates. It starts quickly too, without a launcher or required account.

How to play

You pick one of 11 maps, and the rules can change quite a bit between them. There is regular survival, rescue stuff, capture the base, arena and other modes. Enemies arrive in waves, with tougher specials and bosses appearing later, so rushing around alone gets sketchy pretty fast. Nothing2lose gives you better gear as you survive, including attachments, armor and barricades.

Solo works with survivor bots, while co-op lets you host a room, send friends a link or join an open match. Multiplayer can support up to 25 players. If a survivor goes down, there is also a short chance to be revived before returning as part of the zombie side. Lowkey a nasty way for a team to suddenly lose control of a round. Remember to refill ammo at stations and spend your cash in the armory.

Tips

• Stay close enough to teammates so somebody can revive you
• Save barricades for places where the wave is easier to funnel
• Expect special enemies and bosses after the basic waves
