Redcoats io is a massive multiplayer 3D FPS where two armies fight for control of forts. Battles mix infantry, cavalry, field cannons and ships on one large map.

How to play

Pick a side and a role: Musketeer, Cavalryman, Cannoneer or Sailor. The real objective isn't running around looking for random fights. Your team needs to capture forts and keep control of them. Musketeers work better in groups, cavalry can move around the map fast, while cannons and ships support the fight from range. Redcoats io can put up to 1,000 players into one battle, so going solo is usually a pretty bad plan.

Weapons are switched with 1-5. Use F when you need to mount a horse, operate a cannon or board a ship. The map on M is worth checking often: chasing one opponent halfway across the island while your team loses a fort is basically helping the other side.

• Stay with your team when attacking forts
• Use cavalry for fast movement and flanking
• Check the map before choosing where to respawn
