Frenzy io is a browser co-op top-down shooter where up to 20 players clear monster rooms, collect upgrades and climb a tower that gets harder floor by floor.

How to play

Clear every monster in the room and the exit opens. Pick up XP gems on the way, then spend each point on upgrades such as damage, fire rate, movement speed, extra HP, regeneration, faster dash or a wider pickup range. Your weapon also ranks up as you defeat enemies, offering one of two traits each time.

Every 10th room in Frenzy io has a boss, with a loot chest for everyone after the fight. You only get one life, although another player can revive you. Berserk lasts 15 seconds and makes you move 45% faster, take 65% less damage, deal double damage and fire 75% faster, so wasting it on an easy room is a bit mid.

• Save Berserk for a crowded room or boss
• Boss chests give loot to everyone
• Stay close enough to teammates to make revives possible
